Professional Parenting is a program of:
In 1996, Professional Parenting began a program specializing in the treatment of adolescent sexual offenders. The objectives of the program are to provide a broad range of services to adjudicated youthful offenders to allow these youth to remain in their homes, to promote safety in the community, and to prevent further sexual offending.
Referrals to the program are made through the Buncombe County Department of Juvenile Justice. Our program offers services to adolescents who have been adjudicated for various sexual offenses, and have been ordered by the Court to participate in an evaluation and/or treatment for these problems.
This community-based program is currently funded through the Juvenile Crime Prevention Council and the United Way.
